On February 15, 2025, Badminton Club Split hosted the Dalmatinska Liga 1. Kol tournament, a thrilling event that brought together 59 young badminton enthusiasts from four clubs: BK Zadar, BK Dubrovnik, BK Split, and BK Iader. The tournament featured competitions in various categories, including GS, GD, BS, and BD, with the U11 category focusing on GS and BS.
6 players participated from Badminton club Zadar and in all categories they managed to get on the podium except in GD U19. :
- GS U13: Lea Šimurina playerd for the first time in this age cateogry and won Gold.
- GD U13: Lea Šimurina and Mihaela Dokoza won Silver
- GS U19: Franka Antolić improved from last time to win a silver.
- BD U19: Jakov Bljaić and Dominik Stipetić won the 2nd place.
- BS U19: Jakov Bljaić secured Bronze medal.
Lea Šimurina was happy that she managed to win a medal outside the home ground of Zadar. Mihaela Dokoza won her first medal in doubles. We hope these improvements will help motivate these young minds to practice harder to achieve better results in future tournaments. Franka and Marijeta lost by a small marging to reach the finals, which seemed like can be attributed to the falling concentration as the time progressed. Which only means that more practice is needed to remain focussed and not to get distracted.
